This is a tool that helps you create your own token on the Solana blockchain. Your wallet does all the signing, so I never hold your keys, your funds, or your tokens.
You pay a fee for using the tool, on chain, in the same transaction that creates your token. It is not refundable, because nothing on a blockchain can be reversed. Separately, Solana itself charges you rent and network fees, usually around 0.01 SOL, which does not go to me.
The token is yours. You are the issuer, you own the authorities over it, and you are responsible for it in every sense: legally, financially, and otherwise. I am not.
Who runs this site
mintonsol.com (the "site") is operated by a single independent developer trading as mintonsol.com, based in Greece. I am not a company, a registered financial institution, a broker, an exchange, a money transmitter, or a custodian, and nothing in these terms should be read as suggesting otherwise.
My full legal name and postal address are not published on this page. They are available on request to any user who asks, and to any court, regulator, or authority entitled to them. Write to [email protected] and I will provide them.
Throughout this document, "I", "me" and "my" mean the operator described above. "You" and "your" mean the person using the site.
By ticking the box that says you agree to these terms, and by using the site, you accept this agreement in full. If you do not accept it, do not use the site.
What the site does
The site is a self service interface that assembles blockchain transactions on your behalf and hands them to your wallet for approval. Specifically, it helps you:
- Upload a token image and a metadata file to IPFS, through your own Pinata account
- Create a Token-2022 mint on Solana with a name, symbol, decimals and metadata pointer
- Mint an initial supply to your own wallet
- Revoke the mint authority, the freeze authority and the metadata update authority. All three are switched on by default, and all three can be switched off
Everything that touches your funds happens in your browser and on the Solana network. The site is an interface. It does not operate the blockchain, does not guarantee any transaction will confirm, and does not participate in your token after it exists.
Who may use it
You may use the site only if all of the following are true:
- You are at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to enter this agreement
- Creating and issuing a token is lawful for you, where you live and where you are located at the time
- You are not located in, resident in, or acting on behalf of anyone in a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions, and you are not on any sanctions or restricted party list maintained by the EU, the United Nations, the United Kingdom, or the United States
- You are not using the site on behalf of someone who fails any of the above
I do not verify identity and do not perform know your customer checks. That places the responsibility for the statements above entirely on you.
Your wallet and keys
The site is non custodial. It never receives, requests, stores, or has any means of accessing your private keys, seed phrase, or recovery phrase. Your wallet extension holds those and signs transactions locally on your device.
You are solely responsible for the security of your wallet, your device, and your recovery phrase. If you lose access to your wallet, or someone else gains access to it, I cannot help you and cannot reverse anything that results.
I will never ask for your seed phrase or private key, for any reason, through any channel. Anyone who does, including anyone claiming to be me on any platform, is attempting to steal from you.
The platform fee
Using the site costs a fee, currently 0.06 SOL per token created. The exact amount and the receiving address are displayed on the page before you approve anything, and are read directly from the server at the moment you load the page.
I sometimes issue discount codes that reduce or remove this fee. A code applies only to token creations started while it is valid, and I may withdraw or change any code at any time without notice. Codes carry no cash value, are not transferable, and confer no entitlement to a discount on any future creation. Whatever amount your wallet shows you before you approve is the amount you will pay.
The fee is included as a transfer instruction inside the same transaction that creates your token. This means one of two things happens: either the whole transaction succeeds and you pay the fee and get your token, or the whole transaction fails and you get neither. They cannot come apart.
The fee is non refundable. Blockchain transactions are final once confirmed, and cannot be reversed by me, by you, or by anyone else. This includes cases where you later dislike the result, make a mistake in the token details, or fail to complete the second transaction that mints your supply.
I may change the fee at any time. Any change applies only to token creations started after the change. The amount shown to you before you approve a transaction is the amount you will pay.
Other costs you pay
Beyond the platform fee, creating a token costs SOL that does not go to me:
- Rent for the mint account and the token account, held by the Solana network rather than by me
- Network transaction fees paid to validators
- Whatever your Pinata plan costs you, if anything
Together these usually come to somewhere around 0.01 SOL, on top of the platform fee. That figure is a rough guide based on typical conditions, not a promise. Rent depends on how much metadata your token carries, and network fees rise when Solana is congested, so your actual cost may be higher or lower.
The site adds up an estimate before you begin, so it can warn you if your balance looks too low to finish. The estimate is approximate and is not a quote. All of these amounts are set by the Solana network and by Pinata, and none of them reach me.
Devnet and Mainnet
The site can operate on Solana Devnet or Mainnet. Devnet uses valueless test SOL and exists for practice. Mainnet uses real SOL with real value and produces a real, permanent, publicly visible token.
You choose the network. Selecting Mainnet is your decision and your risk. I strongly recommend a full run on Devnet first.
Actions that cannot be undone
Some options the site offers are permanent the moment they confirm on chain:
- Revoking the mint authority permanently ends your ability to create more of the token, fixing the supply forever. There is no way to restore it.
- Revoking the freeze authority permanently ends your ability to freeze token accounts. There is no way to restore it.
- Revoking the update authority permanently ends anyone's ability to change the token's name, symbol or image. There is no way to restore it.
- Creating the token itself cannot be undone. A token cannot be deleted from Solana.
- Uploading to IPFS publishes your image and metadata to a public network. Once distributed, you cannot reliably delete it.
When the page loads, "revoke mint authority" and "revoke freeze authority" are already ticked. If you leave them as they are, your token will be created with both authorities permanently destroyed. That is the configuration most people launching a community token want, because it is what proves to buyers that the supply cannot be inflated and their tokens cannot be frozen.
"Revoke update authority" is also ticked by default. If you leave it, the name, symbol and image are locked permanently and no one can correct a mistake in them afterwards.
It is also irreversible, and it is not right for everyone. If you intend to mint more of the token later, run a staged release, manage a treasury, or retain any ability to freeze accounts, you must untick these boxes before you approve the transaction. Once the transaction confirms, nobody can give those authorities back to you, and no refund is available.
Read each checkbox and its current state before you approve anything. I cannot reverse any of these for you.
You are the issuer
This matters more than anything else in this document. When you use the site, you create the token. You are the mint authority. You hold the supply. You choose the name, the symbol, the image and the supply. You decide what to do with it afterwards.
I am the author of a tool you used. I am not the issuer, promoter, sponsor, adviser, underwriter, or distributor of your token, and I have no ownership, control, or continuing involvement in it.
Consequently, you alone are responsible for:
- Whether your token is a security, a financial instrument, or a regulated product in any jurisdiction, and for complying with the law if it is
- Any registration, prospectus, disclosure, licensing or reporting obligation that applies to you
- All tax consequences of creating, holding, selling or distributing the token
- Everything you say about the token to anyone else
- Every person who acquires it, and every claim they may bring
Your images and text
You keep ownership of the image, name, symbol, description and links you supply. By using the site, you confirm that you own them or have permission to use them, and that they do not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
You also grant me the limited permission needed to process that content for the purpose of delivering the service, which in practice means passing your name and symbol through the server that builds the transaction. Nothing more.
The metadata file also records that the token was created with this site, as a "createdOn" field naming the site and its address. This is a label rather than a claim of ownership or endorsement, and it does not give me any rights over your token. If you keep the update authority, you can edit or remove it later using other Solana tools.
Note that your content goes to IPFS through your own Pinata account and onto a public blockchain. I have no ability to remove it from either.
Things you must not do
You must not use the site to create a token, or to do anything, that:
- Defrauds anyone, including exit scams, "rug pulls", pump and dump schemes, or any token created with the intention of misleading buyers
- Impersonates a person, brand, project or organisation, or implies an endorsement or affiliation that does not exist
- Infringes copyright, trademarks, or any other intellectual property rights
- Launders money, finances terrorism, or evades sanctions or capital controls
- Depicts or promotes child sexual abuse, non consensual sexual content, violent extremism, or the sexual exploitation of anyone
- Harasses, threatens, defames, or incites violence or hatred against any person or group
- Breaks any law that applies to you
You must also not attack the site itself. That means no attempts to bypass or tamper with the fee, no automated abuse of the interface or the API, no attempts to gain unauthorised access to the server, and no interference with anyone else's use of it.
I may refuse service, block access, or decline to build a transaction, at my discretion and without notice. That said, please understand clearly that I cannot prevent misuse. Solana is permissionless and anyone can create a token with other tools. These rules describe what is allowed here. They are not a claim that I police the blockchain.
Services I do not control
Using the site means using several independent services, each with its own terms and its own failure modes. I do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for any of them:
- Your wallet (Phantom, Solflare, Brave Wallet, or another)
- Pinata and IPFS, where your image and metadata are stored
- Solana itself, and Helius, the provider my server uses to reach it
- Cloudflare, which routes traffic to the site
- Any explorer, exchange, aggregator, liquidity pool, or marketplace where your token later appears
If one of them is slow, offline, changes its rules, loses your data, or behaves unexpectedly, your token creation may fail or produce an incomplete result. Fees already paid on chain are not recoverable in that situation.
No advice of any kind
Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal, tax or accounting advice. The interface text, the tooltips, the defaults, and the explanations exist to help you operate the tool, not to tell you what you should do.
Creating and holding crypto tokens carries a high risk of total loss. Meme coins in particular are extremely volatile and frequently end up worthless. Get independent professional advice before you commit money you cannot afford to lose.
Availability
This is a personal project run by one person. I make no promise about uptime, response time, or continued existence. I may modify, suspend, or shut down the site at any time, for any reason, without notice and without liability.
Tokens you have already created are unaffected by this. They live on Solana, independently of whether this site exists.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, to the fullest extent the law permits. In particular I do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error free, secure, or fit for any particular purpose, that transactions will confirm, or that the results will meet your expectations.
Software has bugs. Blockchains reorganise, congest and fail. Third parties break. You use this at your own risk.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost tokens, lost opportunities, or loss of value, however caused
- My total aggregate liability to you, for all claims arising out of or relating to the site, is limited to the total platform fees you actually paid me in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim
- I am not liable for anything caused by your wallet, your device, your own mistakes, third party services, the Solana network, or the acts of any other person
Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, for fraudulent misrepresentation, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against me because of a token you created or something you did through the site, you agree to cover my losses, including reasonable legal costs, provided the claim does not arise from my own fraud or wilful misconduct. This applies particularly to claims from people who acquired your token, and to regulatory action concerning it.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms. The current version always lives at this address, with the "last updated" date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised version. If you do not, stop using the site.
Changes are not retroactive. The version in force when you created a token governs that token creation.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Greece, without regard to conflict of law rules. The courts of Greece have jurisdiction over any dispute.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, and you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
Your consumer rights
If you are an EU consumer, you may generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract, subject to the exceptions provided by applicable consumer law. Where our service is fully performed immediately at your request, you expressly consent to its immediate performance and acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed.

General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the unenforceable part is treated as modified to the minimum extent needed to make it valid.
If I do not enforce a provision immediately, that is not a waiver of it.
You may not transfer your rights under this agreement. I may transfer mine if the site changes hands, provided your rights are not reduced.
These terms, together with the Privacy Notice and the Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the site, and replace anything said or written previously.
